At least most people seem to be in a good mood today. Well, most people. One of the girls in Philosophy of Law brought in brownies for everyone. They were kind of rapid, and made it a lot easier to stay awake.

[Mors]
I made plans with your cousin for tonight, er, I made plans with Eloise tonight. Figured I should probably specify as you have...more than I can count in one sitting. You alright with this? I mean, I know it's not your sister or anything, but still. If you're not speak now. Also, bribes, I have them.

PS. If you don't comfort some lovely lass tonight, I'll be very disappointed in you. I don't care if it is Tuesday.
[/Mors]

Also. I think works going to be rather entertaining tonight. Always is on Valentine's.

You're going to have excellent stories tomorrow after your night of work.

I usually do on nights like tonight. People always act differently when they think they're supposed to be with someone for one night. My job becomes just to make sure that nothing gets out of hand in a more literal way than usual.

What kind of bloke would I be to turn down a bribe? The kind of bloke that laughs in the middle of a conference because one of his best-mates is asking his permission to Valentine his wacky cousin. She's a sweet lass and all but...best o' luck to you mate.

Also, I've had that last bit taken care of for a while now, there mate.

You wouldn't be the man that we've all come to know in love. Consider it sent and waiting for you when you get home. Well, I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it. The way I saw it I'd rather say somethin' and be sure than not say something and get you all raged up. She's very sweet, and I like that she's a little wacky.

Now what have I missed? You've either gotten all too good at keeping things or I've been focused that I missed everything. Which, is a very real possibility.

Excellent! How I love being me. Raged? Naw, I'd leave that up to m'Uncle Teddy. Ellie's a big girl, mate, I'm more worried for you than I am for her if she's anything like her ol' man.

I think we are both out of the loop considering I didn't know that you are Eloise were even close. I wouldn't say I've necessarily been hiding it as much as we just haven't been very public. It's not like it's a defined thing or anything like that. I think. Though I've been told that I've mentioned it a time or two with the influence of a few dozen or so.

I get the feeling that I need to know something here....I mean, I'm good with the dad's. Dad's like me, well, either once they figure out I can get them tickets through da, or that I'm not actually scary, or talk to me for five minutes?

Shit. Oops? Well, back in the loop then. Yeah, I mean, we've been hanging out a bit lately, and you know, it's kind of hard not to catch the good vibes from her, you know? It's been a bitch of a semester so far, both school and with all this girl shit that's going on, so, little bit of positivity isn't such a bad thing. Plus the cat likes her so you know, clearly I've hit that level of socialization when I'm listing to the damn cat. Though, better than Scotty some days. Huh, I see. Interesting, but not in a bad way. Wait....hold on a tick there. I mean, I kind of sort of vaguely remember something about something when we were in Vegas. This have anything to do with Mands and why she's been acting nice to me lately?

He's just dramatic, mate. I'm surprised she's not in a permanent bubble. Da has used him as an example a few times when it's come to Bessie. I've heard some funny stories from when Da started dating Mum. Uncle Teddy just as an interesting view of them women he cares for any threat to that leads to some pretty entertaining results. Especially as he and Da were mates long before then.

Listening to a damn cat? Well I see the appeal now of a psych major. Though listening to any inanimate object is better than listening the Scooter on his best of days.

Ha! Yeah, it might have a bit to do with that though I wasn't aware she was ever not nice to you. It just kind of happened before Vegas...and then kept happening. Apparently she was interested in me back in school and I was just so damn caught up with other endeavours to notice. Which amuses me a bit; said other endeavour never liked her and I couldn't figure out why for the life of me.

Ah. Okay. That makes a little more sense then. Okay. Well, I guess with that in mind, I'm just not going to worry about it too much at the moment, as well, that would be jumping the gun a bit. Speaking of guns...he's not packing like your old man is he? I thought he was going to kill Scooter and I the first time we came over after we left school. So long as he's not like that, I think I'll be fine. You know, assuming that I even get that far. Which...it's been a while. Yeah. Fuck I sound like a damned woman.

His logic seems to be on par with Scooters some days and you lot haven't been around in the last past ten days so...you know. This fact just made coffee come out of my nose. Good job.

It wasn't like she was mean or anything, just, never really got on but whatever, that's in the past doesn't matter now. That's because said endeavor didn't like any girl that was nice to you. I mean, she was never outright mean to some of the girls I was seeing, but still. I just chalked it up to being a teenager? Interesting though. Well, so long as whatever not formal thing you've got going on makes you happy, then I'm glad.

I thought I was going to kill Scooter after that time. As far as Uncle Teddy packing...not that I'm aware of but she gets her special little gift from him and from stories I've heard from their youth he's not afraid to abuse it. Though news of gun jumping means that I haven't missed too much; if it comes around just go to the Cavity and chat him up so you're not a complete alien to him later. As long as the woman is damned, I don't think sounding like her is too bad then.

That must have felt wonderful.

I never noticed, not that my lack of observation skills really surprises me any more all things considering. I hardly noticed that either. Honestly I have no idea where my head was for seven years, mate. I even run into people that I spent a significant amount of time with and I haven't the slightest who they are. Anyway, happy is a pretty good word for it; she saves me from the take-out and the cot in my office. Pretty decent lass, she is.

I feared for his death, and was planning on how to get him out of there. Ah, okay good to know. Good to know. Also, depending on how this all goes I just might have to stop in. I like to think I can chat up people. She's one of the good ones, so I don't know. Guess we'll see how this all plays out, yeah?

The best feeling ever. Right up there with getting clocked in the temple by drunks.

My theory? You were younger and she had a nice rack. Oh don't even give me that look, of course I noticed. I just pretended I didn't. Because I'm that good of a mate. Well that's good! Good to know that you're not starving or hurting your back or anything. Really, though, I am glad that she makes you pretty happy. It's nice to hear.

There is common sense of the things you can and can't do. It's not even about a bro-code though it's there as well. Never thought I'd actually have to draw the damn line in the sand for him. Teddy's pretty easy going guy when he's not being a spazz so if things start to play out that is definitely the route you should consider.

I'm glad, mate though next time I plan to surpass the drunks.

She did have a nice rack too bad they could only cover the sea wench for so long.

But yeah Mads, she's great. I mean I've always known that she was great. I spent the first few years of Hogwarts convincing her that a friendship with me was the answer to all of her social problems and didn't get my arse handed to me. It's had be reassessing a fair bit which has been...enlightening to say the least. I have reservations at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud tonight which I think is going to be greatly entertaining just to see her squirm through all of the posh.

Life and it's little surprises. But I appreciate it. Can't help it, I like being prepared, don't like going blind into things. Then consider me, well, considering it. Until then, just enjoy the process, yeah?

Why am I not surprised?

Damn diddles. I'm pretty sure that's where women hide their magic....

Always the politician. But at least in this case, it's not such a bad thing. Enlightening, that's got to be a good thing. Anything you care to share? Just curious. Holy shit mate. Though, somehow I'm not surprised that you've found a way to take her to Ireland's only two star Michelin restaurant. Good work mate, enjoy the squirming.

Always just enjoy the process, mate.

Because you've had to deal with me for more than half of your life. I'm bound to get predictable.

Hypnotist magic.

Never a bad thing! I never fight a fight not worth fighting even back with that damn hat. Just past decisions so it's not like anything can be changed. I've just been thinking about how different things could have been. A sign of my age. I know. Found a way? Ha! That's what happens when you help the owners grandson out of a bit of trouble in Havana. Ever need a table let me know.

That much I can handle.

Good point. Though, at least I know what I've gotten myself into.

And yet. If I were to suggest that we blokes hide our magic in parts of our anatomy, I'd be the asshole.

You know, I always suspected that's why it took so damn long with you, but until now, I didn't have the contamination I needed. Ah. Understandably so, let it stay where it is then. Sure you don't want to borrow the cane that somehow has found its way into my room? Oh really? Huh. The amount of favors you've accumulated over the years is staggering. Good work mate. You know, I'd take you up on that, but I fear I'd be doing as much squirming as Mads would be.

I'm still just shocked and amused that we are talking about Eloise here. I did not see that coming.

Double standards mate; only acceptable when the lasses make them. It's just something we are meant to shut up and take in order to get the rest of the perks.

You should have been there mate; I schooled that damn piece of cloth I tell you! I got what I wanted and that's all that matters. It's just my natural charm. I think I'll let you keep the cane for now, but I'll let you know if something backfires and I come in need of it. It's not the number of favours that you should be impressed with; it is the number of right favours. They aren't normally very hard to accumulate if you keep your ear to the ground. Dirty laundry is literally thrown everywhere.

I'd pay to see that.

Truth be told, I didn't either. But, I'm glad for it.

Fairness or perks....fairness or perks...yeah, perks always win.

Now that I would have liked to see. Instead I was just sitting there wondering why the hell it was taking so long and just why there was an open seat next to me. Three minutes later, well, you know. I'll have to keep that in mind when I start practicing this summer. It won't hurt to have a few in my back pocket.

You would have to pay to see it, because otherwise it's not happening.
